Description: Head out from Plan (1,120 m) by road towards the swimming pools located on the other side, in the direction of the Saúnc and Chía Pass. From this point, follow the PR-HU 37 along an easy trail that runs toward the Plan d'Escún reservoir until you find the trailhead a couple of kilometers later. The path climbs through the forest that covers the slopes of Peña del Mediodía. It ascends steeply, crossing the course of the Ibón ravine. Upon exiting the forest, it connects with the GR 15 trail coming from Saravillo and the Labasar Refuge, which continues on the other side of the mountain toward Armeña and Barbaruens. Following the GR markers, you’ll reach this magical and legendary Pyrenean lake (1,910 m) by traversing through meadows. Nestled in a hanging glacial valley surrounded by peaks exceeding 2,600 m, it is said that the enchanted maiden appears in its waters every St. John's Eve. The return is made by following the same route.
Description: From the tourist office, leave Plan heading north along trail PR-HU 37. The path climbs a significant elevation with a comfortable layout and reaches Gistaín, where it connects with the GR 19. Follow the red and white markers westward, with no major elevation changes, until you reach a junction where, once again, the yellow and white markers of PR-HU 37 appear, coming from Plan via another path. From this point, ascend to the fields of Feneplan and then, with a gentle descent, arrive at Serveto, from where the return begins. Leave Serveto from the lower part of the village, again following the PR-HU 37 markers toward Plan. After crossing the Feneplán ravine, ascend to El Collet. At this point, it is possible to climb Peña Artiés, which adds another 3 km and 280 meters of elevation gain to the route, or directly take the path that descends beneath Peña San Martín, reaches the road, and, following a path between the road and the river, arrives back in Plan.
